In today's CRAZY real estate market, this question about doing kitchen upgrades to your home before selling comes up a lot. So I would like to tackle this one head-on for you. I'll be sharing with you 5 kitchen features to replace your outdated elements in order to update the kitchen for today's buyers.

When I preview a home for a potential client and notice a butler's pantry or a built-in bar area, I immediately know this is going to be one of the key selling features in the home.

These areas provide much needed extra storage for those extra sets of dishes, serving pieces, bar/stemware, and maybe even some silver and fine china. Today, most home buyers are looking for those multi-functional kitchen spaces for entertaining and socializing with their friends & family members.

Another feature on the list for a quick home sale or increasing the value of your home is updating your lighting fixtures. Updating lighting does not have to be expensive by any means, and there are some great big box stores that stay current with today's trends. Home Depot and Lowes are great starting points if you are in the market for some statement pieces.
